ITS NOT JUST ABOUT THE DANCE, ITS ABOUT WHO WE ARE!!

Not too long back when we commenced with this group it was just a dance group but now as we see ourselves as its part, feels great honor to be a contributing member of it. This dance group is not just a troop of guys and girls dancing on the desi beats but now a small little family who shares everything from joys to sorrows. It’s not the steps that make our dance look good but it’s the love that builds chemistry and coordination in-between us, it’s the joy of dancing with each other that makes our performance appealing to others, it’s the passion that we have for this group.

We are all different individuals from different backgrounds but still so close because dance binds us all together. Dance has given us a different view to look at life, giving us X-treme pleasure and ecstasy. With a dream of achieving the best and the highest we all walk together facing all the challenges and in some time we will attain what we intend to.

Our Bollywood dance is not just a dance form but it’s something that we enjoy, something that is connected to our lives in some or the other way. Every emotion and feeling can be expressed through Bollywood songs and maybe that’s the reason we dance on this particular form only…………….

Feels really good to work with such awesome dancers and I just wish that our love increases day by day and we always climb up on the ladder of success facing all the hurdles hand in hand J

So guys- "Just Dance from your heart and love your music, and the audience will love you in return"…………that’s the fact………..

dancing your way thorugh to glory

When you dance, your purpose is not to get to a certain place on the floor. It's to enjoy each step along the way.-... and thats exactly what we did as flashmob while we performed for international peace and harmony day.
We as a small group decided to make our own dance group wherein we can prepare in advance for the performance and perform in front of a huge audience which will not only boost our confidence in dancing but also get us popular and acquire recognition for us among them. We are working hard currently for a mega performance event that is coming up in January and intend to make it big then.

something about dance i would like to mention:

Dancing is inner passion something that we all have in us. Its just a matter of getting to know that passion and dancing your heart out. That involves, practise, stamina, energy and passion.

What is bollywood dance?

Bollywood dance is a difficult topic to discuss because it is hard to pin down. Its exact definition, geographical distribution, and stylistic characteristics are amorphous. However in spite of all of this, it is surprisingly recognisable. Bollywood films must have song and dance, so it is reasonable to look into the styles of these dance forms. It turns out that this does not tell us much, because of the large number of dance styles that have been enfolded into it. Furthermore, Bollywood dancing has changed tremendously over the years.

And... to conclude... with the coming months and upcoming performances we as RDB team promise to give it our best.

Now, all YOU have to do is just wait for a bit longer, until we come back with some smashing new performance which is to be soon and show you our new moves.
Till then stay tuned and keep dancinggggggg!!! :D

thanks and best regards

Living the dance, dancing the life!! :D

I am just another person who is......living the dance, dancing the life!!

I have the freedom to follow my own ideals, to make my own choices, to express my own morals, and to determine how I want to pursue my happiness. The kind of life I want depends on the kind of person I am – on my character and culture. I ask myself time and again, “What is Happiness for me?” This question can be answered differently every day, depending on the events and actions. But one thing that has always given me peace, happiness, tranquillity, serenity and self realisation is “Dance”. It has been an Instrument for me to worship God and thank him for bestowing this rhythmic gift upon me.
For the past twelve years of my life I have been a dancer. Though I never had any professional training, but never felt that I am less than anyone else as ..."Great Dancers are not great because of their technique; they are great because of their passion”.

It was in 2005 when I joined my graduate school, and decided to form a group which was named as
“D Beats” with few members in it. This group lasts till today (though I am no more with them) and has always been the best dancing group ever. We performed in various colleges including the IIT’s which are very well known for their cultural fest’s. I miss those days when I was in India, I miss every bit of my college life, I miss my group members who had just one thing in common and that was the passion for dance. Dance has given me some of the best friends I have today.
Well, since it’s been 2 years I am residing in Melbourne, and the only thing I missed to the core was the Dance. There was time when I just kept thinking when will I get to dance again and express myself? Will I be able to feel that beat again ?Ohh I missed D Beats so much.......But as its said:
“Patience is sugar”, so I got the sugar though late but worth it .Now that I have the chance to relive those moments am gonna make the most of it ....
It’s time to “Dance like no one’s watching “....!!!

So Cheers’...and Keep Dancing coz the day u’ll stop, you’ll start growing older ;) !!

Performances: From nothing to something and to be continued.......

Hey Hey!!!
I am Amanda and I shall shed some light on our performances so far, accompanied by
my take on joining this awesome group. So stay put and enjoy! :)

We all came together as participants for the flashmob and met every thursday for
practice. This soon became a habit and along the line all of us became really good
friends. The practice sessions were so much fun and everyone was motivated all
the time and the energy levels......don't ask about it!

We were asked to perform a few times at festivals before we actually did our grand
performance (the flashmob video, which is a MUST watch!!) and we willing obliged,
as it was good practice for the real deal.

Our nerves were working on overdrive as we were waiting to get on stage and bust some moves, for our first ever performance. I was very scared of stuffing up or even worse, forgetting
the steps. I’m sure everyone else felt the same and our lovely choreographer
(Sunny Kumar) gave us a really good pep talk right before we got on, which
calmed our nerves enough to get on stage. And needless to say our first
performance was mindblowingly good!! We got alot of compliments and offers to perform
at various events. The adrenaline rush after the first performance was really
addictive. All the nervousness and jittery feelings we got in our stomach were
long gone and in spite of there being a few slip ups we still managed to WOO
the crowd! After this, all we wanted to do was to keep performing.

Our second performance was 2 weeks later at another Eid festival. We were well prepared this time around and knew what to expect and what was expected of us. So the performance was at a whole new level. We received the same appreciation and cheers from the crowd as we
did the first time. It did wonders for our stage confidence and worked as a
charm for our final performance.

The final performance was simply A-W-E-S-O-M-E. The days leading up to it were pretty tedious though. What with everyone trying to polish up the steps and look as professional as possible?! And the results…..well, you’ll have to be the judge of that. You REALLY should go
watch the video now, if you haven’t already.

All in all it was really surprising to find so many talented people who shared the same passion in
dancing and enjoyed doing it as much as I did. I’d say that we make a great
team.

Now, all YOU have to do is just wait for a bit longer, until we come back with some smashing new songs and show you our new moves.
Till then stay tuned and keep dancinggggggg!!! :D

What makes a good dance performance?

Here's a good example of what I call good dancing. Its a simple peace, performed by two people yet the elements this dance comprises makes its a spectacular watch.

Dance is something everybody can do. It is an art which we can be very good at without needing to study. It is a matter of feeling the music, the emotions connected with the lyrics and the beats that tell you where and how to move. In my opinion, the best way to describe a good dancer is one who "goes with the flow".

Having said that there are no studies involved in learning how to dance, here are some key factors to keep in mind when performing or practicing:

1) Tell your story through your facial expression. Show your passion and love for dancing through expression and feelings. This is very nicely depicted in the video above. When you feel optimistic about your performance so will the audience. It is a good way of controlling how you would like the viewers to react.

2) Stage Presence. This is also known as the "IT" factor. It is the ability to engage your audience. The way you enter, exit and move around the given stage keeps your audience interested and allows them to react to an interactive performance.

3) Dress to impress! Many put all the effort in practising, focusing on the moves and coordination that they forget to paint the picture with colours and dresses (of course). Not focusing on outfits for the performance is making as silly a mistake as submitting a drawing for an art competition without colouring it.

4) Practise makes you perfect. No move is too difficult or easy, its the practise that defines the level of difficulty for you. Practise is your solution to coordination, stamina, elegance, remembering of steps and basically every dance element you can think of.

5) Last by not least, be optimistic and don't give up!
